After their visit to Damnoen Saduak floating market in the morning, Geography students will be taken to the fascinating Maeklong railway market, which looks like any other market, until a piercing siren announces the train’s arrival, signalling the removal of goods off the track, so the train can squeeze through.
Today, you will complete a wonderful journey of discovery by bicycle, going to places that tourists rarely visit. You will take your bike on a train, in a boat and even on the sky train as you navigate through modern & traditional parts of this fascinating city. Your journey will take you to the very outskirts and back.
Day 8 for Best of Thailand programme
Our adventure begins with a visit to the highest peak in Thailand, Doi Inthanon. After a short visit to the summit, we take a three-hour walk through thick rainforest, hill tribe villages, rice paddies and jungle rivers, where your local guide will help you discover the secrets of Doi Inthanon.
Day 8 for Thailand Adventure programme
Today you embark on a challenging seven-hour hike to the summit of Tiger Head Mountain. The route takes you through lush rainforest with splendid views through the foliage, to a well earned picnic on the summit. Your local guide will help you identify the birds, plants and animals that you encounter.
Today, you will be taken on a city tour of Chiang Mai, ‘The Capital of the North’. You will have plenty of time to view the Thai way of life through its shopping streets, markets and Chiang Mai’s most spectacular temples. Afterwards, there should be plenty of time for a traditional Thai massage before dinner.
