Free 7-Day Inspection Visit of Thailand
Week A: 2nd – 8th April / Week B: 9th – 15th April
SmileyThai Travel would like to invite teachers who are serious about organising an expedition to a week-long inspection visit of Thailand.
Our inspection visits are subject to a number of conditions and are only intended for those who are genuinely interested in arranging a school trip to Thailand. We respectfully ask that you only apply for one of the limited number of places if this is the case.
Our inspection visit will take you to three of the most exciting regions of Thailand, Bangkok, Chiang Mai and Koh Tao Island, allowing you to familiarise yourself with the key locations and the accommodation options that are available.
Our itinerary is jam-packed full of activities and will help you choose the package that is best suited for your group. We are sure that, as you grow in familiarity with the country, your confidence in the kingdom will grow, and you will be better able to sell the expedition to your students and their parents.
We take Health and Safety seriously and, through immersion in numerous activities and scrutiny of facilities, you will be better placed to make your own judgement calls and develop your own risk assessments, or adapt the ones that we will provide.
Our free inspection visits do not include international flights or travel insurance, but pretty much everything else is included. You may wish to bring some money for drinks in the evening, souvenirs and tips for the guides, but the package includes all meals, all activities and entrance fees, transport (including four internal flights and two ferry crossings), accommodation, services of a local guide and SmileyThai representative.
The trip is only offered to one teacher from a school, but if places are available, then a work colleague, or a partner, may attend at a cost of 70,000 Thai Baht per person. We have limited availability and decisions on this cannot be made until January of the year of the inspection visit.
Conditions
- Trips are free to just one teacher from a school and are subject to availability
- You can only apply for a free inspection visit if your teaching establishment has not travelled to Thailand with SmileyThai Travel before
- To apply for a free inspection visit, you must complete the application form, answering all questions
- After we have received your completed form, we will contact your head teacher to verify that this is a genuine inspection visit with the intention of organising a school trip to Thailand within the next two years
- Additional places on the trip may become available at a cost of 70,000 Thai Baht per person
- Our intention is to follow the itinerary as described. If, however, we are forced to alter the schedule for any unforeseen reasons, then an alternative itinerary will be provided free of cost
- The free inspection visit will start and end at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport and does not include international flights
- It is anticipated that many will wish to stay in Thailand longer than the duration of the inspection visit. If we receive sufficient prior notice, then alternative arrangements can be made to accommodate this.
