Royal Palace, Temples, Emerald Buddha & Canal Tour
(Private Day Tour)
Itinerary
DTB01
- Your guide and driver will collect you from your central Bangkok hotel, or from Saphon Taksin BTS, in your own private vehicle
- We will head through the heart of Bangkok to Wat Pho, Temple of the Reclining Buddha, with its magnificent 45m long golden Buddha, the largest in Bangkok. This is one of the most iconic sights in the city
- You will then head to Wat Phra Kaew, the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, which is the most revered and sacred of all Thailand’s temples. Lavishly decorated and opulently presented, this is a must-see for any visitor to the capital
- From Wat Phra Kaew, it is a short walk to the Grand Royal Palace. This is a real life fairy-tale palace, adorned with shimmering gold and gem stones. You will be shown the splendid gardens, throne room and the royal guard
- We will then walk through the crowded Amulet Market where you may choose to haggle for a bargain on your way to the Chao Phraya River
- You will be served a delicious Thai Lunch on the banks of the Chao Phraya River, which flows slowly through the centre of the city
- After lunch, you will climb aboard a longtail speedboat for an exciting tour of Bangkok’s Klongs, where you will be able to see the way that people live alongside their canals
- At the end of your canal tour, your longtail boat will drop you off at the magnificent Temple of Dawn, Wat Arun, on the banks of the Chao Phraya River.
- After your guided tour of Wat Arun, your guide and driver will take you back to your hotel, where your tour will end
