Jungle and Lakes 3 day tour
(3 days/2 nights)
This short tour takes you to the wonderful lakes and jungles on Khao Sok National Park. The tour includes return travel from Surat Thani, Phuket or Krabi, making it within easy reach of most of southern Thailand’s beach resorts.
A dreamy escape to captivating Khao Sok Park, in which you will stay in your own floating bungalow on the edge of a wonderful lake.
Day 1 ( -/L/D)
Floating Bungalow
- This tour starts in Surat Thani, Phuket or Krabi, where you will be met by your own guide and your driver
- Transfer to Khao Sok National Park, which at 160 million years old is one of the oldest rainforests on our planet
- Your first night is spent in a basic, yet charming hut that is actually floating on the edge of a magical lake, surrounded by thick, lush vegetation and stunning rock formations
- You will have your own kayak with which you to explore the lake
- There are toilet facilities, but no shower – you swim in the cool lake if you want to wash!
- Enjoy the sunset over the lake, before dining out under the stars
Day 2 (B/L/D)
Floating Bungalow
- Enjoy breakfast on the edge of the lake and a refreshing morning swim.
- Today you will be taken on a walk through the rainforest by a local guide who will tell you about the plants and animals that you see
- Lunch will be eaten out in the open
- Your jungle walk will continue after lunch and will take you past rivers and waterfalls and eventually
back to your floating accommodation where you will be served cold drinks and dinner
Day 3 (B/L/-)
- Your itinerary today is dependent upon your future plans
- Some will head for one of the many idyllic islands, whilst others will head back to Surat Thani. Whatever your plans, we will arrange for your transfers as required
- Before you leave the jungle, you may wish to have an early morning swim, or another walk amongst the trees, or simply relax in this unique and unspoiled location
- Transport to Surat Thani, Phuket or Krabi is provided
